KaDeWe Food Hall

Last week we went to KaDeWe, one of the biggest, oldest, and fanciest department stores in the city. They have a huge food hall on the top floor, where you can buy and incredible variety of luxury foods, including little spiced goat cheeses,

more flavors of mustard than you could ever possibly need,

and delectable-looking tarts and tiny pastries.

This being Germany, there was also tons of meat - fresh, cured, smoked, pickled, roasted...

...and an incredible variety of sausages.

Plenty of fruits and vegetables too, including tomatoes that were, for some indiscernible reason, in individual boxes.

We also got a käsepretzel, which should have been awesome since it was, as the name would suggest, a pretzel with cheese, but it was only ok.

Then we got free samples of pancakes with maple syrup, since it was a Canada-themed day!
